Manasa Sarovar comes in Tibet.Lake Manasarovar lies at 4,590 m (15,060 ft) above mean sea level, a relatively high elevation for a large freshwater lake on the mostly saline lake-studded Tibetan Plateau. The lake is revered a sacred place in four religions: Hinduism, Bön, Buddhism and Jainism.
Lake Manasarovar overflows into Lake Rakshastal which is a salt-water lake. It is believed that Lord shiva separated Lake Manasa Sarovar and created Rakhas tal for Asuras. We spent one night at Manasa Sarovar night Camp. This place is a restricted place and only pilgrims visit this place for holy dip in lake. Because govt. has restricted bath or dip in the lake, we stayed in the camp and spent most of the night watching beautiful sky. We sighted nearly 25 shooting stars and two dancing stars. It was amazing to see many shooting stars converging into the lake.
Morning, we spent time near lake doing poojas, bhajans, collecting holy water in bottles. After the break fast and lunch we started our journey to Kailash foot hill Darchen – 2-3 hours road journey.
