Nepal has only one largest  international Airport called  Tribhuvan International Airport (IATAKTM) located in Kathmandu. The airport is well connected to all the countries across the world by most of the  airlines.I had taken Jet airways flight from Bangalore to Kathmandu via Delhi. Stop over in Delhi was nearly two  hours. As it was a guided trip, representatives from our Tour operator was available in the airport when i reached Kathmandu in the afternoon. Our lodging was planned in Village Part Hotel, situated outside the city. Hotel was very spacious and covered with good greenery. First day was more of taking rest and submitting documents, getting to know detailed plan, talking to other group members etc. We stayed for three days in the Hotel and visited Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambu Budda Stupa (Monkeys temple), Chandragiri hills, Jal Narayan temple and Bhagawati temple. Each place has its own significance and importance. Pashupatinath temple is very famous and people do not miss this temple when they visit Kathmandu like Varanasi Viswanath temple in India. We visited tallest Shiva Temple in Sanga Village. It is believed to be the tallest idol (murthy) in Asia.

While i had come prepared with all the Thermal clothes for Mt. Kailash  journey, the first experience  of weather  in Kathmandu was normal and felt pleasant. People from 15 countries joined us and total  group count was around 180. Everyone  was very excited about  the Ati Rudra Yagnam , Chandi Homam and Kailash Parikrama Journey.
